World-class training

Mission

To build an integrated program of planning, training, exercise and evaluation that will establish the National Center for Emergency Medical Preparedness and Response and The Texas A&M University System as the pre-eminent institution related to medical and public health preparedness.

About NCEMPR

Disasters involving the health and medical community are among the most critical gaps in national security. Those who cared for victims of the attacks on the World Trade Center or from hurricanes such as Katrina know that proper disaster preparation and response saves lives.

World Class Team

The Texas A&M University System is paving the way to better protect and respond to those affected by disaster. Offering one of the most comprehensive emergency response training complexes in the world, the A&M System has united its health science center, engineering and extension programs to deliver the best in disaster preparedness and response for the health and medical community. The result is the National Center for Emergency Medical Preparedness and Response (NCEMPR).

National Asset

NCEMPR is a unique national asset that combines the best practices of health sciences and emergency management. The center provides training and technical assistance to the health sector.
